I’ve been passionate about language for as long as I can remember. I have a BA in Journalism and a post-graduate certificate in Publishing. As well, I have a certificate in Modern Standard Arabic and a certificate in language education.

In my teaching program, I was introduced to the communicative approach to language acquisition. Following my experiences in language learning, as well as my students’, I was inspired to research this approach further. I strongly believe in research-backed methodologies, and always try them out on myself before adapting them to my teaching.

I’m a (mostly) self-taught designer. I completed a few design courses as part of my Publishing program, and was encouraged by my instructors’ positive feedback to pursue this path further. Naturally, given my passion for language, my work as a designer lies at the intersection of language, culture, and visual aesthetics.

I founded Arabic In Depth with the aim of making Arabic more immersive, more engaging, more relatable and enjoyable. There’s no better way to learn a language than to acquire it by immersing yourself in it, engaging with it, and enjoying it.
